USING A PERSON CENTRED APPROACH TO CARING

Using a Person-Centred Approach to Caring focuses on the way a Person Centred Approach (as devised by Carl Rogers) can be offered to service users so as to enable them to feel their views and opinions are heard and that the service you offer them has a particular focus that is individual to them.

Learn how Maslow's Hierarchy of Need can be applied to service users to help them to move from feeling they have no control to being able to influence how they live their lives and choose appropriate ways of achieving their own level of 'self-actualisation'.
